Home
Ikki was standing by the door. His body resting against the wall, his arms crossed on his chest. As always, his eyes were closed while he carefully listened to the others lively chattering.
Each of them, besides Shun of course, he considered his brothers. It was not what others would call normal—not that he minded that. It was just bizarre that he could feel so close to them and so detached at the same time. However, that was him and whoever had a problem with that could deal with it the way they might find more suitable.
They were all talking, sharing with each other; deep inside, Ikki found it beautiful. It was marvelous to see them all as a family. One he was part of, even from afar.
The man smirked, as if it was enough for him to show his pleasure with the scene. He moved from his place looking for the door to leave the library of the Kido mansion and eventually the House.
“Ikki, where are you going?” He heard Shiryu speaking to him from behind. How to respond? What to say?
“I’m leaving, or is it that you can’t see right, Dragon?”
Shiryu breathed heavily, forgetting about what the other had just said. “Aren’t we all on the same side? Why are you leaving?”
“I swore to protect Athena. I never swore to spend my life with any of you,” and knowing what Shiryu was to say next, he added, “not even Shun.”
The Saint turned again to retake his way out of the place. No grudges or bad feelings within him.
“This is your home, Ikki. Ours!” he heard Shiryu yelling behind him. Ikki raise his arm, waving to the other as if to say goodbye.
“I know.” He muttered.
