“I don’t remember you, my Lord Siegfried.  I know not who you are.  Please, forgive me.”

The cadence and elegance in Hagen’s voice, made Siegfried withdraw and walk away, leaving Hagen alone in the boundaries of the forest of the Megrez family.  He sighed deeply, frustrated by his failure at bringing back his friend’s memory.  Longing for the other to remember him at least.

Hagen turned a little just to see Siegfried sideways.  He pitied the other man.  Siegfried had been so desperate to make him remember something he could not relate to, that he felt desperate himself just to leave the situation.  Hagen sighed as well, for the situation weighed in his heart.

The God Warrior did not know who he was, why he was there or why he had returned to life as he had been told.  It saddened him, though.  No one wanted to come closer to him, and when the other God Warriors happened to be conversing, he was the one who had never had anything to say.  Soon he had found himself running from a meeting with everyone in Asgard.

Fhler included.

The man turned to look at the trees again.  The forest had also changed.  How much he wondered, for he had always despised the place despite how beautiful it was.  Maybe it was as different as he felt he was.

He could not help it and turned to look at the path Siegfried had taken.  The Captain’s aura still flowed around him.  Warm and caring.  He had no doubt whatsoever about the good intentions of the man, but he could just not bring to his mind any memories of them together.

He started to walk forward and into the forest.  Maybe being there would help him remember what he was supposed to.  He felt nothing at all.

Only a deep sadness, for Siegfried was no one to him.
